"Higashiagatsuma Torture" is an album that stands out from the previous releases of Staat Und Organization above all for the choice of more sophisticated sounds (but never "modern"), full of settings and with an always very particular use of the voices. An almost intimate and obsessive atmosphere in a concept album dedicated to Japan (there are several hints in the original language) and to the musical culture of the East. A very calibrated disc, incessant in its dark industrial ballads, sometimes overwhelming, full of liturgical and hypnotic elements, such as the beautiful "Angst" and "Open Your Eyes" which opens the album. the glacial and "plastic" "Inokage", "Scorpion Wind" haunting and dynamic, "Higashiagatsuma Torture" with its distressing and almost hysterical structures, "Section 334" rather rhythmic and schematic piece. A praise to "The Dreamer's Conversation", divided into two parts both very soporific and esoteric. "It Was The End" with its distorted electronica and female vocals nestled perfectly. Closes "Hipnotek", a strange journey divided into 4 distinct parts, talks about the departure of a spaceship on the moon but the whole is very psychedelic and rather decadent. A beautiful album, very original and with a really crystalline and powerful sound. A brilliant new little gem for the death industrial and power electronics scene.
